Michael Azzariti has been known as the foremost effects
rigger in the Mid-West, setting the tone and style of effects shots for
table top since the late
80s. He has worked with noted directors Peter Elliot, David Deahl, Mark
Klein and Tom Ryan helping them achieve remarkable shots. Working closely
with these talents led to the development of his own visual style.
Michael studied Studio Arts and Film at the University of Illinois
and worked for a time as commercial photographer. But his love for
all things
mechanical and his experience in the sculpture studio led him to work
as an effects rigger in Chicago in the 80s. Michael served his national
clients
under the company name of Azzariti Productions Special Effects until
the end of 2006.
In 2007, Michael started Black Bag Films, Inc, a production company dedicated
to creating exciting images, not only effects shots and shots for post
production, but footage that stands on its own. Blending a technical expertise
with an artist's sensibility, Michael is creating modern, crisp, upbeat
footage for today's audiences.
